本文在回顧1900年以後根圈土壤之研究。所謂根圈現象是指養份分佈、重金屬移動、微生物之活動以及在根圈附近土壤受植物生長影響pH的變化。由過去根圈土壤所發展的研究方法強調以根圈箱的研究來解釋植物土壤的相關性。在1987年以後,根圈箱與模式的建立用來研究土壤根域物理化學及生物性質對根圈的生長變化影響。
This paper reviews current information about rhizosphere in the soils based on works conducted since 1900s. The forms of rhizosphere phenomena namely nutrient distribution, movement of heavy metals, microbial activities and relevant pH occurring across rhizosphere in soils which influence plant growth and development largely are discussed. The historical development of the methods for studying rhizosphere processes is reviewed with emphasis on rhizobox approach based findings useful in interpreting plant -soil relationship studies. The rhizobox model established in 1987 and its modified versions to study the variably root affected chemical, physical and biological properties of soil zone called rhizosphere along with the defined range of rhizosphere is discussed and recommendations are suggested.
