Introduction to Two-dimensional Electronics

摘要


本文將簡單介紹二維電子及其發展現況,首先是簡單介紹常見的2D材料,包括 由四族元素所組成的X-enes和由磷所組成Phosphorene以及過渡金屬二硫屬化物Transition Metal Dichalcogenides TMDs等。其晶體結構以及能帶結構和Bandgap將一一做說明。接下來將簡單介紹由Silicene,Graphene,MoS_2,和WSe_2所做成的2D Field-effect Transistors以及它們目前的研究開發現況。CMOS的微縮到極致後,終極元件的選項之一就是2D電晶體也將做簡單的解釋。最後是簡單的結論。

This article will briefly review 2D electronics. First, the most commonly seen 2D materials will be introduced,including Group IV elements(C, Si, Ge, and Sn), phosphorus, and transition metal dichalcogenides TMDs. Their crystal structures, band structures, and bandgaps will be explained. The most commonly studied 2D field-effect transistors (2D FETs) composed of silicene, graphene, MoS2 and WSe_2 will be introduced and explained. The reason of using 2D FETs will be explained in terms of the evolution of field-effect transistors. Finally is the summary.
