春吶女孩之身體經驗－美白、瘦身與裝扮的身體展現與意義

摘要

本研究運用質性研究，探究年輕女性參與春天吶喊的身體經驗，瞭解春吶女孩展現身體的感受與意義。本研究以女性主義學者Iris Young「活生生的身體」概念作為理論觀點，用以解析春吶女孩的身體經驗與父權社會和流行文化的關係。本研究發現，即便是短暫的春吶之旅，對春吶女孩而言卻是一段漫長的身體銘刻，她們透過身體實踐陰柔特質、透過身體感受性別化的空間，也透過身體去體現主體。無論春吶胖女孩採取瘦身運動、春吶白女孩實踐美白或是春吶黑女孩追逐流行打扮，她們的身體經驗都共同體現了女性的身體困境，卻也展開了女性的行動力。春吶女孩體現身體的過程，開啟了她們認識自己身體與做身體的契機，在各自追求理想身體的經驗中理解如何擁抱身體與面對自我。春天吶喊的空間提供我們一個機會，重新瞭解年輕女孩在春天吶喊裡展現身體的意義及感受，帶領女性進入更深層的認同，並使我們瞭解身體之於主體的重要。

Through qualitative research, this research focused on experiences of young women in the Spring Scream Festival to realize their body experiences and their meanings. Using the concept of ”lived body” by feminist scholar Iris Young, this research explores how patriarchy and popular culture influence those young women’s body performance and experiences, especially in the aspects of whitening, dieting and dressing. The result shows that no matter whether the young women were losing weight, pursuing whitening or pursuing fashionable dress, they all struggled with mainstream discourses of popular culture and gendered norms. However, those struggles also revealed their action of trying to take control. The six young women’s body experiences in the Spring Scream provide a chance to reconsider the meaning and importance of the body in terms of gendered being. These body experiences also brought the six young women to a deeper self-consciousness and cherishing of their feminine bodies.
