Along with the high speed transformation of society, the release of controls on education and the curriculum reform have been accelerated as well. After the vast modifications of primary and secondary education made by the grade 1-9 curriculum guidelines, the measures of how to connect with grade 1-9 curriculum have since been a priority for the reformation of high school curriculums. The Ministry of Education has started the modification of the standards for high school curriculums since 2001, and in order to stay in coordination with the grade 1-9 curriculum the standards have been renamed as the guidelines.In this article, the latest modification of the guidelines for high school curriculums is examined from the perspectives on curriculum reformation patterns and the trend of the development of high school curriculums in several countries in recent years. In addition to the introduction of the process and features of the latest modification of the guidelines for high school curriculums, specific suggestions for the reformation of high school curriculums in the future are proposed as well in a hope to avail the modification of high school curriculums and the process of curriculum reformation in the future.
