Brisk walking is a safe and simple aerobic exercise that can be done at any time and place for achieving multiple benefits in health. In 1995, the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) highlighted that multiple short bouts of exercise (e.g. 8-10 minutes) within a day, if accumulated to 30 minutes and above, may bring about similar benefits for health and physical fitness promotion. It is thus suggested that the hectic modern men should make use of available time slots during their daily life for brisk walking. The advantage of the short-time exercise and easiness of brisk walking may also serve to activate one's motivation in participating and maintaining physical activity habits.
