韌性(resilience)以及適應和反應(adapt and respond)的能力,來自不同系統、層級的挑戰和變化是醫療照護服務和系統在不同條件下維持關鍵功能和提供高品質照護服務的基礎。自COVID-19大流行開始以來,我們都目睹了全世界的公共衛生及醫療健康照護系統的從業人員承受著極大的壓力。醫療照護人員、管理者、政策制定者、病人和民眾都不得不面對這突然地、戲劇性且需適應此健康的新威脅,也衝擊了醫療團隊試圖維護病人安全和醫療照護品質的努力。台灣的醫療體系展現了韌性的最佳表現,並為全球公共衛生做出努力與貢獻。但醫療照護人員所經歷的壓力、暴力與創傷,是不容忽視且重要的課題。
The resilience and the ability to adapt and respond to various levels of challenges and changes are the foundation for healthcare systems in order to maintain key functions and provide high-quality care services under different conditions. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have all witnessed the great pressure fallen on public health practitioners and healthcare systems around the world. Healthcare workers, managers, policy makers, patients, and the general public all have to face this sudden, dramatic and new threat to public health. Despite impacting the efforts of medical team to maintain patient safety and the quality of medical care, Taiwanese healthcare system has demonstrated leading performance in resilience and has made efforts and contributions to global public health. However, the stress, violence and trauma experienced by healthcare workers during the pandemic are unavoidable and important issues.
