林語堂的上古音韻觀研究

摘要

中西文化交流的代表人物之一──林語堂，在文學界享有盛名，然其學術背景實際上是研究音韻學出身的，但是相較於他在文壇上的成就，其在音韻學領域上，影響力甚微。從林語堂的就學歷程上來看，自西方語音學脈絡之下繼承的學養背景，帶給他有別於傳統中國聲韻學的研究視角，應能從中得到新的理路。其音韻論文集《語言學論叢》匯集了他對於音韻學的獨特觀點，本文試圖從中討論林語堂論述的獨到之處，以及為何其理論未能具體影響學界的原因。

The one of representative of Sino-Western cultural exchanges-Lin yutang, enjoys a good reputation in the literature. However, his academic background is actually studying the phonology, but compared to his achievements in the literature, his influence in the field of phonology was little. From Lin Yutang's studying process, the background of inheritance from the Western phonetics has brought him a research perspective different from traditional Chinese phonology, and should be able to get a new rationale. His collection of phonological essays, ＂Language Theory＂《語言學論叢》, brings together his unique views on phonology. This article attempts to discuss the uniqueness of Lin Yutang's discourse and why his theory has not specifically influenced the academic world.
