分析市售含糖飲料的含糖量及對健康的影響

EFFECTS OF THE SUGAR CONTENTS OF COMMERCIAL SUGARY DRINKS ON HEALTH

摘要


含糖飲料是外加糖份攝取的主要來源,舉世皆然。汽水、果汁及能量飲料等都是不同形式的含糖飲料。這些飲料會加入蔗糖、濃縮果汁及高果糖玉米糖漿等甜味劑來增加甜味。許多前瞻性世代研究已證實含糖飲料的攝取與長期體重增加甚至肥胖之間的關係。在台灣,消費者可以很容易買到含糖的品牌包裝飲料或從飲料店購買現調含糖茶飲。本篇論文中,我們探討攝取含糖飲料與第二型糖尿病、心血管疾病及高血壓等慢性病發生風險的關聯性,並且整理出包裝飲料及現調茶飲的含糖量。希望能提供消費者正確及健康的觀念。

Sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) are the major source of added sugar intake for people worldwide. SSBs include soda drinks, fruit drinks, energy drinks and so on. Sweeteners such as sucrose, concentrated fruit juice and high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) are common additives in the beverages. Many perspective cohort studies have revealed the relationship between SSBs consumption and long-term weight gain, even obesity. In Taiwan, consumers may easily get SSBs as package drinks in the supermarket or fresh-brewed tea drinks in beverage store. We disclose that SSBs consumption is associated with higher risk of developing chronic diseases such as type II Diabetes Mellitus, cardiovascular disease and hypertension. We also collated the sugar contents in package drinks and fresh tea beverages in Taiwan. Hopefully the information may provide the consumers an accurate concept on sugary drink intake.
