The purposes of this study are to understand and to investigate the influential factors of behavioral intention of energy saving and carbon reduction by conducting a survey in a junior high school in New Taipei City. The objects of this survey were 7th and 8th grade students in this junior high school. Six classes in each grade were randomly selected from the junior high school. Each student was asked to complete a structured questionnaire. A total of 349 effective questionnaires were collected. The results of this study showed that the subjects' knowledge, attitude of energy saving and carbon reduction, and environment sensitivity could significantly predict their behavioral intension of energy saving and carbon reduction (R^2 = .501). Among these factors, environment sensitivity influenced the behavioral intention most. The results also showed knowledge, attitude, behavioral intension of energy saving and carbon reduction were significantly correlated to environment sensitivity. Based on these results, we provide suggestions for sustainable development education and further studies.
