The purpose of this study was to assess the suitable size and nursery days of cucurbits seedling for grafting by GR800-B robot. Plug seedlings of cucumber, bitter gourd, and watermelon as scion as well as squash, luffa, and bottle gourd as stock were grown in different days. There was various combination according to the different grown days of seedling while grafting. The survival ratio of grafted plants was investigated. The results showed that appropriate scion size of cucumber seedling was 8-12 days, of bitter gourd seedling was 7-10 days, and of watermelon seedling was 7-9 days. The appropriate stock size of squash seedling was 7-10 days, of luffa seedling was 7-11 days, and of bottle gourd seedling was 7-10 days. The six days old seedlings were not suitable for grafting by robot because the cotyledons did not completely expand and the diameter of stem was very small. The stem of squash and bottle gourd seedlings, over 11 days, became hollow which would reduce the survival ratio of grafted seedlings.
