Breeding for New Variety of Dwarf Typed Tuberose (Polianthes tuberosa L.)

摘要

本試驗經由雜交選育出6個優良具短花莖之矮性株夜來香並經分別分球繁殖成營養系。經調查記錄植株和開花等園藝性狀後，選出6個優良選系。其中重瓣花型系85-D-03、85-B-03 及84-E-19，分別為白色、紫紅、粉紫紅色花。單瓣花型系91-A-69、91-B-61及91-B-62為桃紅、黃及乳黃色花，六個新品系經命名為夜來香‘嘉大情人’、‘嘉大幻想’、‘嘉大熱情’、‘嘉大桃紅’、‘嘉大超級黃金’及‘嘉大和平’。

Tuberose is an important floral crops in Taiwan. Several new cultivars showing colorful flower have been selected for cut flower. In order to select dwarf type of tuberose for bedding plants and potting plants, the crossing breeding program was conducted for many years. Six superior dwarf hybrids were selected from the progenies. Six clones were then established by division respectively. The horticultural characteristics and flower performance of these six clones were investigated. Clones of double flowered type 85-D-03, 85-B-03 and 84-E-19 showed white, purple red and pink purple flower colors. Clones of single flowered type, 91-A-69, 91-B-61 and 91-B-62 showed peach pink, yellow and cream yellow flower colors, respectively. Six new cultivars were named, P. hybrida 'NCYU Lover', P.hybrida 'NCYU Fancy', P. hybrida 'NCYU Passion', P. hybrida 'NCYU Peach Pink', P. hybrida 'NCYU Super Gold' and P. hybrida 'NCYU Peace'.
