In this study the effect of the propagation timing, media or indole butyric acid (IBA) on rooting of rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum L.) cutting was tested. The rooting percentage ranged from 44.4% to 93.3% during January to May, however from June to December rambutan cutting did not root. The application of indole butyric acid (IBA) significantly promoted rooting of rambutan cuttings. The more roots of cutting were inserted in rockwool slab. However, there were no significant difference on the rooting percentage, total root length, average root length and the longest length of root compared to cuttings inserted into other medium cultivated in the other media treatments.
