Physical Control Methods Against Plant Pest

摘要


臺灣地處熱帶與亞熱帶,氣候高溫多濕,適合病蟲害的發生與傳播,化學農藥長久以來受到農友依賴以維持農糧生產與收益。隨著病蟲害綜合管理觀念的推廣,愈來愈多農友轉投入友善環境的農耕方式,以求產品的安全健康與環境永續發展。物理防治是病蟲害防治策略中最古老的方式之一,不只對環境友善,也持續地被運用與演進,有效導入物理防治技術,可部份取代甚至擺脫對化學藥劑的依賴,有助於永續農業發展。本文將介紹目前國內外已實際應用的物理防治技術,包含溫度防治法、電磁防治法、機械力防治法、氣動防治法與光誘防治法。

Taiwan is located at tropical and subtropical areas and it is always hot and humidity so that it is very suitable for varied pests to develop and spread out. Growers used to depend on the agricultural chemicals to produce food and make the profits. With the extension of the concept of integrated pest management (IPM), more growers started their farming with environmental friendly methods in order to produce safe and healthful food and let the environment develop sustainable. Physical control is one of the oldest methods in pest control strategies. However, it is kind of friendly to our earth and improved with time. Using the physical control methods effectively could replace a part, or even all of the agricultural chemicals. That will be helpful to develop sustainable agriculture. In this article, some physical control methods that have been applied against pests at Taiwan and abroad will be introduced and those include thermal control, electromagnetic control, mechanical control, pneumatical control and visual lures(color and light) control.
