Recurrent Intussusception Caused by an Inflammatory Fibroid Polyp of the Ileum Managed by Laparoscopy-Assisted Resection

摘要

發炎性類纖維瘜肉是一種少見的消化道良性腫瘤，小腸的發炎性類纖維瘜肉常會引起腸套疊。我們報告一個19歲女性發生三次的腸套疊。前兩次發作，病人因為症狀改善，所以拒絕手術治療。第三次病人接受腹腔鏡輔助迴腸切除手術治療，術後復原良好。術後病理報告為迴腸發炎性類纖維瘜肉。小腸發炎性類纖維瘜肉引起的復發性腸套疊很少發生在青少年。大多數病人都接受傳統的開腹併小腸切除手術治療。我們的病人是第一個以腹腔鏡輔助廻腸切除手術治療迴腸發炎性類纖維瘜肉引起的復發性腸套疊的青少年病人。

Inflammatory fibroid polyp (IFP) is a rare benign polypoid lesion of the gastrointestinal tract. A small bowel IFP frequently causes intussusception. We present a case in a 19-year-old girl who had three episodes of intussusception. She refused surgical treatment after the first two episodes. During the third episode, she received laparoscopy-assisted segmental resection of the ileum with a polypoid lesion. Histopathological examination revealed it was an inflammatory fibroid polyp. Recurrent intussusception caused by IFP of the small intestine is rarely encountered in adolescents. Most cases of this disorder are treated with conventional laparotomy. We believe this is the first case in the English literature of ileoileal intussusception secondary to IFP managed by laparoscopy-assisted resection of the lesion in an adolescent
