摘要

本研究旨在歸納、比較各種醫院服務區域的定義方法，並利用不同方法定義出醫院的服務區域；分析不同服務區域與各服務科別市場競爭指標，以瞭解市場競爭情形。
研究發現：行政地理疆界法所定義出的服務區域範圍過大；半徑法能掌握大部份的病患來源區域；病患來源法可以找出醫院真實的市場範圍，也可針對各科別或特殊服務項目的病患來源區域進行分析；市場佔有率能反應醫院區域市場中的爭地區對研究醫院的依賴程度；市場邊界估計法的範圍較醫院實際上的服務區減小，競爭指標的預估也較為保守。各服務科別市場競爭情形：在該區域中以內、外、婦、兒科市場競爭程度最激烈，提供神經內、外科、泌尿科服務的醫院家數最少、床數最少、市場集中度指標（Herfindahl Index）之值最大。

This study compares different methods of defining of defining hospital service areas, defines service areas of the study hospital using different methods, and analyzes market competition indicators of different service areas and markets for different specialties to understand market competitiveness.
The results indicate that the definition of geopolitical boundary area is too broad and overestimates market competitiveness. Radius circle approach can monitor the origin of most patients. A patient’s original data can reveal the actual market share of a hospital and allow the analysis of individual services or special service items. Additionally, market share approach can accurately reflect a hospital’s competitiveness and the extent to which the city depends on the hospital. Moreover, the market boundary estimate method’s coverage was smaller than the real patient’s original area and underestimates competitiveness indicators. The competing situation of different service types includes internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, and competitive impetuosity of the pediatrics market. Furthermore, the number of hospitals, beds and Hirfindahl Index (market concentration ration) of hospitals providing neurology, and urology service was the lowest.
