This paper aims to analyze the reality of the Post-soviet Russian era depicted in Pelevin's works. In each of his works, the main character co-exists in two worlds-a real and a sur-real world. Pelevin ridicules in his earlier creation the lives in the Soviet Union era and satirises in his later works the Russian society after the Union's dissolution. The real lives are sometimes connected with those in the ancient times and some other times with those in the sur-eal society.
