商業設計專業學生之選讀與職能認知調查

An Investigation into the Career Cognition of Students Specializing in Commercial Design

摘要


「展現臺灣軟實力」是時下最流行的新聞話題之一。臺灣設計軟實力通過學子在各知名國際設計展中頻獲獎展頭角,帶動國內設計科系選讀的熱潮。不僅如此,在政府與業界的共同努力下,爭取到2011年的世界設計大會主辦權,將設計品味推向一個高峰。從滿級分學生選擇科技大學就讀、大專院校新增設計科系,以及設計科系新增班等現象來說,證實「設計教育」這股趨勢正在國內漫延,儼然成為高等教育的顯學。以國內來說,商業設計領域的學生為數不少,他們選讀此專業的因素,與未來畢業後的職能認知,即是值得令人玩味的研究議題。本研究採取問卷調查法,召集具商業設計背景的學生進行探討。此研究結果顯示,商業設計專業學生認為:(1)在選讀因素中,依重要性程度排序分別為「就業前瞻性」、「專業職能」與「學習效應」;(2)在「基本知識」職能需求方面的認知,多數認為「美學」最重要;(3)在「基本技能」需求認知上,則是「色彩計劃」;(4)在「設計實作」需求認知上,則是「版面規劃與排版執行」;(5)在「軟體操作」需求認知上,則是「平面繪圖軟體」;(6)在「職場態度與倫理」需求認知上,則是「良好的溝通技巧」;(7)在「前瞻性」需求認知上,則是「國際觀」。本研究對於商業設計專業學生的學習觀點有更完整的認識,期望本文成果對「設計教育」有所貢獻,並在課程擬定上能提供參考價值。

”Showing Taiwan's soft power” is one of the most popular topics on the island at current time. Taiwan's design power is raised by its students winning awards in many international design contests, and this has aroused great enthusiasm for the department of design in college. Besides, by the joint efforts of the government and enterprises, Taiwan hosted the 2011 International Design Alliance (IDA) Congress. The facts that top-ranked high school students choose to enter universities of technology and that the numbers of design departments in college and their classes are both increasing have proven that such trend as ”design education” is spreading in Taiwan and has obviously become a hit for higher education. In Taiwan, not a few students study commercial design. The factors in their deciding to major in this subject and their career cognition are a thesis worthy of investigation.In this study, a questionnaire method was used and students with a background in commercial design were gathered for investigation. The result shows the following conclusions drew from the students' opinions: (a) the factors in deciding to major in this subject can be sequenced according to the degree of importance as ”employment prospects”, ”professional career”, and ”learning effect”; (b) in the career requirement for ”basic knowledge”, most believe ”aesthetics” is most important; (c) in the requirement for ”basic skill”, ”color scheme” is most important; (d) in the requirement for ”design practice”, ”page layout and typesetting” is most important; (e) in the requirement for ”software operation”, ”graphic software” is most important; (f) in the requirement for ”career attitude and ethics”, ”good communication skill” is most important; (g) in the requirement for ”prospects”, ”internationalism” is most important. This study brings more complete knowledge of the viewpoints of students who specialize in commercial design. We hope its results can be a contribution to the field of design education, and become reference materials for course planning.
