ORC發電裝置應用於食品工業廢熱調查

Investigation on ORC Technology Applied to the Heat Waste from Food Industries

摘要


近年來國內發展的有機郎肯循環(Organic Rankine Cycle,ORC)發電機組已成功應用於多項工業廢熱回收發電產業上,有效提升能源使用效率並減少熱汙染。而在眾多工業中,食品工業部門能源耗量占比達45%~55%,且在能源耗量中,廢熱排放約占50%,如果能利用ORC發電機組的熱力循環運轉系統將廢熱回收以進行發電,將可以節省能源支出並達到節能減碳之效益。本文章乃分析研究國內食品相關產業之工廠製程,選定七間不同類型之工廠,實地調查訪視或向其蒐集廢熱資訊,將所有調查得到之資料進行彙整,與工業技術研究院的綠能與環境研究所合作評估建置ORC發電機組於此工廠的可行性及效益,目前在食品相關產業工廠較可行的方向有兩種,一為燃燒揮發性有機物(Volatile Organic Compound,VOC),此物質為環保署所管制的空氣污染物質,不能直接排放,如果是採用熱式焚化法燃燒VOC將其變為乾淨物質後再排放,此過程就會有廢熱的產生可以加以利用,而另一可進行的方向是收集在食品殺菌製程所排放掉的廢蒸汽,調研的評估方式及結果將會在文章中呈現。有鑑於此,透過我們此次的資料蒐集,已找出具有熱能潛力且適合開發ORC溫差發電技術的食品產業相關工廠,回收再利用所排放之廢熱資源,以成為「節能綠色工廠」為目標,為臺灣的綠能科技發展創下新的紀錄。

Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) technology has been developed in Taiwan during these years, and successfully applied in heat recovery for generating electric power from various industries. However among the industries, food industries yearly consume up to 45 to 55% of the energy in total. Statistically the waste heat released from food industries accounts for about 50% of total energy. Therefore, it is very crucial that the energy can be recycled by using ORC technology and regenerate useful electric power to maximize the energy efficiency. The objectives of this research were to analyze the processing steps taking place in food industries and gather the information needed to perform the analysis of heat waste potential. In the meantime we collaborated with Industrial Technology Research Institute to investigate and estimate the possibility and the benefit of applying ORC technology to generate power. In this study, seven food factories were interviewed to investigate and estimate the possibility and the benefit of applying ORC technology to generate electricity. At present, there are two feasible directions may conduct ORC technology in the food-related industry factories. One is to burn off Volatile Organic Compound (VOC). This substance is an airborne substance controlled by the Environmental Protection Agency and cannot be directly discharged. The other is to collect the wasted energy of steam output discharged from the food sterilization process. Following the leads, we found out the heat waste resources discharged from the food industry-related factories that have the potential for thermal energy and are suitable for the development of ORC technology. Hopefully ORC can be applied to help the food industries establish "energy-saving green factory".
