摘要


本研究目的是1)探討台灣地區現有的聽語專業人員的工作現況;以及2)探討台灣地區現有的聽語專業人員之工作品質。 本研究以問卷調查中華民國國民具備語言治療師或聽力師資格者。問卷內容包括:1)基本資料;2)目前工作情形;以及3)聽語服務狀況。 本研究共寄出335份問卷,回收126份。結果發現,聽語人員工作地點較集中北部地區,工作場所較集中在醫院。78.6%聽語人員為短期受訓,10.3%的為聽語或溝通障礙系所畢業者。超過半數的聽語人員認為自己提供的服務是適當的。有89.2%的聽語人員對工作的整體感受良好。然而,有45.5%的聽語人員人有異動的打算。90%的聽語人員認為通過聽語證照制度對其工作會有正面影響。聽語服務的個案主要來源為醫院、學校、親友介紹、以及個案本身。 相關單位應督促學校、機構等處聘用語言治療師及聽力師,照顧各年齡層聽語障礙人口。鼓勵學校提供在職進修機會以提昇聽語服務品質。此外,中華民國聽力語言學會應積極推動聽語證照制度,以提升工作品質。

The purposes of the study are to 1) investigate current work status for speech and hearing professionals in Taiwan; and 2) to investigate work quality for speech and hearing professionals in Taiwan. Questionnaires of the study were sent to the speech pathologists and audiologists who are citizens of the Republic of China. The contents of the questionnaires included: 1) background information; 2) current work status; and 2) speech and hearing service status. The total questionnaires sent were 335 in which 126 were returned. The results revealed that the work areas for the professionals concentrated in the north part of Taiwan. The work places for most of people were in hospitals. 78.6% professionals were fro m short training, and 10.3% were graduated from speech and hearing department or graduate institute. More than half of the professionals considered their services appropriate. 89.2% professionals perceived their work desirable. However, 45.5% people plan to change their job. Ninety percent professionals suggested having positive change to their job if the licensure issue passes. The sources of cases for speech and hearing services were from hospitals, schools, friends, and the patient itself. The authorities concerned should encourage schools, institutes etc. to hire speech and hearing professionals for taking care of speech and hearing impaired populations with different age groups, and also encourage schools to provide continuing education to promote speech and hearing service quality. Besides, The Speech-Language-Hearing Association of the Republic of China should actively push the speech and hearing licensure issue to promote work quality.
