摘要

聽語學會2008年會議「慶祝改變的風潮」於十一月二十至二十二日在美國芝加哥舉辦，共有12000人與會。本次會議嘗試朝著五個正面趨向發展，而證據導向的實務工作是其中之一；會中頒發安妮獎給茱麗安德魯斯。為了讓讀者對於美國聽力學界新近的發展趨勢有所掌握，本文選取四個主題做較深入的報導，包括：中樞聽覺處理異常(Central Auditory Processing Disorder, CAPD)的聽覺神經科學、診斷與處遇，孩童聽力損失的主要成因－巨細胞病毒，成人電子耳蝸(CI)使用者音樂接收與語音聆聽之間的關係，以及助聽器科技之新進展。

ASHA 2008 convention ”Celebrating the Wings of Change” was hold in Chicago in November 20 to 22. More than 12000 people participated. Five positive trends were demonstrated throughout the convention, and evidence-based practice was among them. Julie Andrews was the recipient of the award ”Annie”. In order to assist the readers to sample the recent development in hearing science, four topics were chosen to be reported in this article, i.e. central auditory processing disorder: the neurological science, diagnosis, and intervention, CMV: the major cause of children’s hearing impairment, the relationship between cochlear implant receivers' perception in music and speech, the update of hearing aid technology.
