The purpose of this study was to discuss relationships of participating experience of private forest landowners and reforestation award patterns. The participating experience were divided into four types: with participating experience in the past, at present, both in the past and at present, and without participating experience. Data were collected from private forest landowners on Taichung County by questionnaire. The results show that both in items of participating intentions and policy cognition levels, the private forest landowners with participating experience in reforestation award, loan for reforestation or seedling without payment, have higher grades than who without participating experience. The results will provide a fundational information for reforestation award policy.
