醫院推行可資源回收之醫療廢棄物的態度與現況調查

A Study about Attitudes and Perceptions Regarding Resource Recycling of Medical Waste in Hospitals in Taiwan

摘要

目的：本研究目的旨在探討不同醫院屬性對於醫療廢棄物資源回收活動實施狀況、影響推行態度因素及其相關性。
方法：本研究以衛生署評鑑合格地區級以上醫院為研究對象，共發放464份，得有效樣本188份，有效樣本回收率40.5%。
結果：研究發現：1.影響推行態度因素包括：對可資源回收醫療廢棄物的認知、工作內容繁雜及蒐集資料困難、政府負擔部份回收成本、院內同仁的配合度。2.可資源回收醫療廢棄物的認知、政府負擔部份的回收成本及院內同仁的配合度，呈現正相關。3.公立醫院與財團法人醫院皆認為政府負擔部份回收成本影響推行態度。
結論：此研究結果，可提供管理單位作為推行全院醫療廢棄物減量及資源回收的參考。

Objectives: This research studied implementation of the recycling of medical waste, and the factors affecting attitudes about resource recovery in a variety of hospitals in Taiwan.
Methods: The respondents were selected from local community hospitals, regional hospitals and medical centers, accredited by the Ministry of Health. Questionnaires were submitted to 464 hospitals and 188 questionnaires were completed to yield a response rate of 40.5 percent.
Results: We found that: 1) the factors affecting attitudes about resource recovery were perceptions about recyclable medical waste, complexity of the work and difficulty in data collection, government's partial subsidy of recycling costs and colleagues' within the hospital, 2) the government's partial subsidy of recycling costs and colleagues' acceptance within the hospital were positively correlated, and 3) both public hospitals and legal foundation hospitals believed that the government's partial subsidy of recycling costs affected attitudes.
Conclusion: The results of this research can provide hospital managers with information about resource recycling and ways to reduce the quantity of medical waste.
