Objectives: Investigate the levels of importance and performance satisfaction with IDS mobile medical services in Wanrung and Zhuo-Xi counties of Hualien for future reference. Methods: To compare the levels of importance and performance satisfaction of IDS services, structured questionnaires which included reliability, empathy, tangibles, responsiveness, and convenience, were used to proceed with the importance performance analysis (IPA) and adjusted IPA. Results: High levels of empathy and reliability existed amongst outpatients from both counties. IDS patients showed high levels of trust because of effective and active services, fixed outpatient schedules, and good attitudes of medical professionals. IDS services in Wanrung County need to improve tangibles, and IDS services in Zhuo-Xi County need to improve responsiveness, tangibles, and convenience. Conclusions: A comparison of the levels of importance and performance satisfaction of IDS services between these two counties based on adjusted IPA charts, outpatients in Wanrung County was shown to have lower satisfaction levels of reliability and responsiveness than outpatients in Zhuo-Xi County. Therefore, IDS services related to reliability and responsiveness need to be upgraded in the near future.
