Objectives : In recent years, there have been a series of studies with a focus on critical care team simulation training in Taiwan. The current study used a resuscitation case scenario to evaluate the effects of general ward simulated team training on attitudes, behaviors and patient safety culture. Methods: medical staff were divided into experimental and control groups based on participation in simulated team training, sudden resuscitation event as the training situation. The team was divided into one and two practices and assessed using the Medical Team Simulated Scoring Scale and the Curriculum Assessment Questionnaire to measure their team safety attitude, safety behavior and patient safety culture. Results: The educational model of two simulation exercises significantly enhanced the clinical and teamwork skills. In the patient safety culture, the experimental group was significantly better than the control group with respect to teamwork and unit safety culture. In the experimental group, the cooperative attitude and behavior of the trainees were significantly better than those of the control group after and 3 months. Conclusions: Based on the current study, confirms the feasibility of highfidelity simulation team training in general wards was confirmed. The findings also suggested that the training model incorporating two practices improved the clinical and team cooperation skills, which is worth popularizing.
