Primary esophageal lymphoma is rare. We report a patient with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma whose initial presentation was dysphagia. The major endoscopic finding was an atypical submucosal lesion that appeared to be similar to lesions of esophageal carcinoma. An initial biopsy specimen revealed only nonspecific ulcer with granulation tissue. A repeat biopsy disclosed malignant T-cell lymphoma. We present the endoscopic findings and endoscopic ultrasonographic pattern in our patient and review the literature on this rare disease.
