Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma of the Frontal Sinus with Orbital Invasion: A Case Report

Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common subtype of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), accounting for 30 ~ 40% of all cases. Common extranodal sites for lymphoma include the stomach, intestine, liver, soft tissue, dura, and bone. Sinonasal lymphoma represents 1.5 ~ 15% of all lymphomas in the United States and 2.6 ~ 6.7% of all lymphomas in Asia. To the best of our knowledge, only 15 cases of sinonasal lymphoma located in the frontal sinus have been reported in the literature. Diagnosis of DLBCL in the paranasal sinus is difficult due to its unspecific symptoms, which include ocular disturbances, rhinorrhea, nasal blockage, epistaxis, and headache. It can easily be misdiagnosed as an inflammatory disease, such as rhinosinusitis, or an upper respiratory infection. Here, we describe an unusual case of DLCBL involving the frontal sinus and ethmoid sinus and showing orbital invasion.
