The continued antagonism between quantitative and qualitative research in educational field latest years that it impels educators to find the solution. Because the biographical research just can satisfy such requirement, therefore, it arrests attention from educators. Many scholars begin to study applied possibility of this method in their field and farther to construct it. In order to make it more suitable for research into educational problems, and let it can extend to another interrelated fields of educational science. At the same time, there are some educators try to apply this method that connect the investigations of educational theories and experiences of educational practice. Consequently, they attempt to discuss the biographical research. The purposes of this article are to inquiry into the beginning and development, theoretical foundations, research approaches, applied steps, advantages and disadvantages of biographical research method, and then as references for educators to research on educational science.
