The purpose of this study was to analyze the difference between tennis service action force of foot-up (FU) and foot-back (FB) for the elite tennis players. One AG-450 camera with a speed of 60 frames per second, the Kistler force plate system and related equipment was used to collect data of six-player performance of service action in the laboratory. Kinematics data were got from the software in Peak Performance System. The results indicated that: (1) The FY action forces were great differences in FB and FU. The average FY action force of the FU step (254.3N, 249.9N, 260.4N) is greater than the FB step FY action force average (170.2, 176, 178.8). Thus it will to force receiver make mistake and facing stronger serve and to shorten the determine time. (2) The FX action forces were great differences in FB and FU. The average FX action forces of the FB step (6.4N, 0.1N, and 1.9N) were greater than those of the FU step (-15.2N, -10.8N, -6.9N). Thus it will help to server for stepping a big step into the court for serving-volley. (3) The service action time of the FU step (2.04sec) was less than FB step (2.40sec). The FU step seemed to be more effective on the endurance and service action time.
