This study aims at investigating the recognition of and attitude toward exercise and health care among women in Taiwan's metropolitan areas. The research adopts the revised chart of recognition and attitude from the perspective of exercise and health care. 1738 parents whose children are junior high school students in Taipei area (both Taipei City and Taipei County) are the subjects of my study. The data is approached and analyzed by statistic analysis and computer software. One-way ANOVA test is adopted to analyze the difference of various social and economic status among these parents, and the remarkable standard α equals .05. According to this research, the difference in the attitude and recognition of exercise and health care between women in Taipei City and those in Taipei County is significant (p<.05). Hence, I would like to suggest that all schools should open their campus to the public as well as any health related organization to hold various sports activities on holidays. It is hoped that through these activities, the citizens of Taipei area will be encouraged to better take care of themselves by doing sports. What's more, the citizens will be taught the knowledge and correct concept of exercise and health care, and they will therefore form the habit of regularly taking exercise.
