Body and It's Deformation: Research on the World of Sign in Zhou Fenling's Disease Writing

摘要


本文從符號學的角度,探索周芬伶的散文作品中,作者如何將醫界的名詞如:失眠、乾渴症與藥癮症等病癥重新編碼,賦予病人獨特的身體政治學、身體哲學或身體性別的意義,建構了新的符號王國。這樣的作品,不但更新我們對疾病原有的認識,也加深我們對身體與人的存在兩者間的辯證關係;疾病/書寫成為作家區分或異於他人不可缺少的重要標記,因它模擬或創造了人生難以逃離的情態:荒謬性、疏離、空無、焦慮不安與死亡。本文最後深入探索作者如何顛覆散文編碼的文學慣例,賦予了疾病散文奇異的美感,也創造疾病的美學價值。

This article will carry out a research on Zhou Fenling's prose on terms that are familiar in medical science like insomnia, sjogrens syndrome, ucide and drug dependence in semiotics approaches to find out the reconstruction of semiotics significance by creating meaning of unique political science and philosophy on the patients bodies. These literary works had renewed and deepened our knowledge on diseases. Disease/writing has become an important and inevitable signs to separate the writer and others due to its nature of mimicking or creating inevitable modes like absurdity, estrangement, nothingness, anxiety and death in life. This article will make a profound research on how the author subverts the literary convention of the coding process of prose, granting a particular sense of beauty to the prose of disease writing, and creating an aesthetic value on disease.
