顯示器產業一直是臺灣相當重要的產業,以2019年為例,顯示器產業的產值達新台幣1.4兆元,占我國GDP 8%,僅次於半導體產業,就業人口15萬人,中大尺寸,電視或車用面板出貨均高居全球第二。但由於近幾年中國大陸及韓國挾著國家資源全力搶攻市場之下,造成臺灣顯示器業者需強化製程競爭力,將產品轉型至車用等利基產品,以及投入次世代顯示技術的開發。
The display industry has always been a very important industry in Taiwan. Taking 2019 as an example, the production value of the display industry reached NT$1.4 trillion, accounting for 8% of Taiwan's GDP, second only to the semiconductor industry, with an employment population of 150,000, adding that medium and large size, TV or vehicle panel shipments are ranked second in the world. However, in recent years, China and South Korea have put their national resources to seize the market. As a result, Taiwanese display manufacturers need to strengthen their process competitiveness, transform their products into niche products such as automobiles, and invest in the development of next-generation display technologies.
