This article used Bandura's self-efficacy theory to the care of cervical spine injury patients from August 6, 2021, to August 30, 2021. During the nursing process, through direct care, observation, interviews, and physical assessments, we found nursing problems such as ineffective airway clearance, dysphagia, anxiety. We established a good relationship with patients and their families through listening, accompanying, emotional support, health education, communication. The four dimensions of Bandura's self-efficacy theory-mastery experiences, vicarious experiences, verbal persuasion, and physiological and affective states-as a framework, individualized nursing guidance is provided to address nursing problems. This approach involves interprofessional collaborative practice and encourages family members to actively participate in discussing rehabilitation care plans, thereby assisting patients in engaging in self-care and alleviating negative emotions. This article provides a reference for medical staff to apply self-efficacy theory through sharing nursing experiences. By interprofessional collaborative practice care, patients can enhance their self-efficacy, leading to the restoration of confidence and the provision of quality care in physiological, psychological, social and spiritual aspects.
