摘要

長期照護機構大多著重於老人身體的照顧及日常生活活動的協助，顯少著重於心靈及社會需求的滿足，機構中也常欠缺社交及活動的安排，以致於住民身體功能逐漸退化。藉由考量老人身體功能的限制及活動能力，設計適當的治療性活動，可促進老人的身體功能、與他人的互動、心理健康及機構內的調適，亦能提昇其晚年的生活品質。本文介紹長期照護機構治療性活動安排的重要性、活動設計的原則及治療性活動的種類，並針對各種治療性活動的功能、活動方式、活動範例加以說明。長期照顧機構的護理人員在老人身體健康促進及活動規劃上常扮演指導者及監督者的角色，護理人員必須評估老人活動的限制、能力及興趣，衡量個別的需求，進而規劃及安排適合機構老人的治療性活動，並將這些活動融入老人的日常生活作息中。

Most of long-term care facilities only focus on assisting daily living activities for the elders, but few have focused on their psychological and social needs for lack of a provision of therapeutic activities. By designing suitable activities for the elders, their physical functions, psychological functions, adjustment to institutions, and quality of life can be improved This article introduced the importance of therapeutic activities in long-term care facilities, considerations in activity arrangements, and different types of therapeutic activities. The benefits and examples of activity arrangements were also discussed. Nurses often played an important role in teaching and supervising health promotion and activity arrangements in long-term care facilities. Therefore, nurses should assess abilities, limitations and interests of the elders and arrange appropriate therapeutic activities as a daily routine in long-term care facilities.
