手術後腸阻塞之中西醫結合會診 病例報告
An Intensive Case of Post-operative Ileus Treated with Integrated Medicine

A 82 year-old female with osteoarthritis was admitted to hospital for right total knee replacement. After operation, she had progressive nausea, vomit and abdominal distension, then she was transferred to ICU because of cardiopulmonary and kidney function failure. Three weeks later, the poor digestive function and the symptoms of abdomen did not get better, so they decided to consult Chinese medicine for combined care. After one-week treatment of acupuncture and umbilical therapy, the patient can finally start feeding progressively.
