This program aims to promote evidence-based nursing to improve the completion rate of nurse practitioners' clinical ladder advancement in oncological nursing care. The analysis of the current situation shows that the main problems are difficulty in writing reports, lacks of knowledge about which projects need be completed, no time to prepare for the advancement, and lacks of motivation to advance clinical competence. For these reasons, ad hoc group adopteds some improvement strategiess such as setting up the mentoring groups for professional advancement, advocating the clinical ladder advancement and reorganizing system for hospitals, combining the evidence-based nursing with the clinical ladder advancement, establishing the appraisal instrument for nursing clinical ladder advancement, and stipulating proper reward regulations for the advancement. After the implementation of these strategies, the completion rate of nurse practitioners clinical ladder advancement in the hospital rises from 13.3% to 60%, indicating that this program is effective and can help nurses in the hospital understand the importance of the advancement. In addition, the nurses' competence to implement the evidencebased nursing care are fostered to meet the more and more patient complex medical needs and improve the patients' satisfaction with the nursing care quality.
