摘要
惡性腫瘤為影響國人健康的重大疾病，根據統計，新診斷癌症人口中，近半數為老年族群，老化會導致生理功能退化，另外，老人生理退化的程度亦因人不同，呈現老年族群高異質性，也影響其對癌症治療耐受性與效果，因此照護老人腫瘤病人面臨極大挑戰。老年腫瘤學結合老人專科及腫瘤專科提供老年腫瘤病人醫療照護，美國臨床腫瘤學會建議常規腫瘤評估應納入周全性老年評估，完整了解老人腫瘤族群身體功能狀態，作為癌症治療計畫參考的依據。本文概述老人族群特殊性、癌症治療的影響、完整的老年評估內容，並加入老人腫瘤族群的照護策略，期能提供臨床照護老年癌症病人的重要面向，結合腫瘤治療及照護的需求，提供老年腫瘤病人具個別化及高品質的照護。

Cancer is one of the most life-threatening diseases which influence national healthcare. The advancement of medicine in cancer treatments and the aging trend in the general population led to the fact that close to 50% of the cancer patients are aging seniors. This is due to the functional decline in the aging process. Therefore, geriatric oncology is a new trend in cancer care. Elderly patients should receive comprehensive geriatric assessment (CGA) as well as cancer treatment/care assessment. American Society of Clinical Oncology has recommended to integrate CGA into regular assessment in geriatric cancer population to provide a more comprehensive and personalized treatment and care base. In this article, we summarize current issues which include the characteristics of older adults and the impact of cancer treatments, the content of comprehensive geriatric assessment model, and the nursing strategies of older adults with cancer. Based on the CGA and cancer care assessment, it is expected to enhance geriatric oncology patients' quality of life.
