專科商科學生升學選校因素之研究

A Factor Analysis of the Decision of Pursuing Higher Education by the Business Major of Junior College Students

摘要


在近年來教育制度不斷改變,許多技職院校紛紛升格為技術學院或科技大學,因生育率下降,使得未來就學人數銳減,學校在面臨嚴苛的經營環境時,要更瞭解學生的需求與特性,以制定較佳的招生策略,因此本研究主要探索商科專科學生升學選校之考量因素,研究對象為專科之二專、五專日間部應屆畢業生,探討學生選校時之考量因素及不同學制與不同升學方式其考量因素是否有差異,本研究依據學者專家及相關文獻,訂出「學校因素」「課程規劃」「人際因素」「個人經濟因素」及「招生資訊」等五個構面,進行資料分析,其結論如下: 1.整體而言,較重視者為:學校交通方便、學校環境良好及學校設備新穎。較不重視為:補習班老師建議、學校寄發電子郵件及學長姐之建議。 2.在不同升學方式方面,推甄學生對於「學校因素」較統一分發學生較重視,在不同學制方面,五專學生對於「招生資訊」較二專學生重視,從整體選校因素來看,推甄學生較統一分發學生更為重視。

As the educational system of Taiwan has evolved continuously in recent years, the number of institute/university of technology has thus increased. The decreasing birth rate and students' enrollment has resulted in stiff competition among universities. To meet students' demand, these institutes/universities of technology have to devise better recruitment plans and strategies. This research, therefore, aims to explore the consideration factors by the two-year and five-year college students pursuing higher education after graduation. Based on previous literature and experts' opinions, this research has identified five constructs for data analysis, namely, school characteristics, program planning, human relation factors, individual economic consideration, and students' recruitment information. Conclusions can be drawn as follows: 1. On the whole, factors that weight more in the decision of selecting schools include transportation convenience as well as learning environment and facilities of school. On the other hand, suggestions from outside cram school teachers and higher grades students as well as the e-mail marketing do not seem to be effective tools in attracting students. 2. On the issue of different approaches towards pursuing higher education, those who apply themselves put more emphasis on overall school factors than those whose choice of school are determined by the Entrance Examination Center. It is also found that the five-year college students deem recruitment information more important than the two-year college students.
