Notes on Immature Biology and Distribution of Rapala takasagonis Matsumura (Lepidoptera: Lycaenidae: Theclinae)

Rapala takasagonis Matsumura is a lycaenid butterfly endemic to Taiwan. Its immature biology was poorly understood, with only one host plant reported in the past. No information on the habits or morphology of R. takasagonis as available in literature. In the present study, two additional host plants are recorded, and an account on the bionomics, immature morphology and distribution is also given.
