Have you ever regretted about not being able to learn something thoroughly from visiting a museum hurriedly due to insufficient time. Our educational activities will solve the problem for you! A well-devised and good educational activity can either present the abundant collection and display design in the most efficient way or attract people to visit the museum constantly.
This is a science and technology museum. All the educational activities are essentially devised for the purpose of improving people's scientific and technological quality. What is the scientific and technological quality and education? Whatever applicable technology around us, modern or ancient, traditional or high technological, will be all of our learning material in the educational activity. For example, to make an interesting Christmas tree from used newspaper and to make a real shootable racket from a wasted PET bottle, even to have a DIY computer and to experience the magic of the virtual reality...etc. will be our educational content.
We offer the learning method which strengthens ”DO IT YOURSELF” to attract learners' initiatively participation. To motivate people's interest of learning technology and guide them to concern the environment around us, to realize technology, to apply technology and every resources and then teach people to promote themselves to be the maintainers even creative inventors from being consumers of this society.
According to this idea, our educational activities are creative not only on the educational content but also on the motivated activity method, so that people can be attracted to participate aggressively. In order to put these educational activities into effect practically, the activities have to be devised in accordance with the different objects.
1. Happy mother photography seminar activity.
2. Good neighbors of museum-community integration construction activity.
3. Capable mother computer seminar activity.
4. ”Grandparents” aged generation computer seminar activity.
5. Speech serial activity.
Large-scale outdoor activities:
Large-scale outdoor activity is essentially made for all citizens no matter old or young, therefore we will state independently. As this have to be done in conformity with festivals, we arranged an outdoor art fair on Dragon Boat's festival this summer presenting parents/children plays, laser/sonic show.
For the opening of our Technology Education Center, there were different activities like parents/children activity competition, magic concert-music instruments DIY and structural art- the pyramids construction joined by parents and children. More than one thousand people attended our party and we are glad to see that people were in better order and their learning attitude became more and more diligent every time. In the future, on Oct. 25th, a light and fire banquet-laser party and ”Mars exploring activity” will be presented for which we welcome you to join us.
Museum education is a long-term service career, and its results will not show up immediately. Notwithstanding, for the essential goal of improving citizens' science and technology quality, we would like to continue developing various educational activities and integrate the resources to a reapplicable ”Activity Box” to serve all of the audience from every place.
The first three years from the museum's opening will be the preparation stage of our group for which our main goal is to establish a firm foundation and prepare for forever operation. All of the laboratory spaces of Technology Education Center will be completed after 1999. Then, our different appearance will be presented and the profundity and range of our activities content will be improved in order to attract more people to participate our activities aggressively and to achieve the museum's goal of promoting science and technology education.
