摘要

本研究乃配合國立科學工藝博物館數位典藏之整體發展，以凸版印刷科技文物典藏資料為基礎，嘗試建構台灣科技文物及工業技術數位典藏所需之詮釋資料及數位典藏資料庫軟硬體系統架構，並將工博館現有印刷文物（包含鑄字機、製版照相機、照相植字機、打樣機、打字機、鉛版紙型、印刷機等）經由網頁設計轉化指網路主題展示教材，以達工博館推廣科技教育的目的。未來據以擴充成為全國科技文物資源網路，成為國家珍貴的科技文物數位資產。

To supplement the development of the digital collection at the National Science and Technology Museum, this project, based on the museums' collection of relief printing artifacts, intends to establish the structure of a metadata and the software and hardware of database for the digital collection of Taiwanese technological artifacts and industrial technology. The technique of metadata will be applied to transfer the Museums' printing artifacts (eg. Typecasting machine, photoengraving machine, phototypesetting machine, proof press, Chinese type writer, flong and printing press) into a digital database. Also, this material will be transferred into a web-site through homepage design to achieve the museum's goal in promotion of technology education. In the future, this database will develop as a nationwide technological artifacts resources web, and will become a valuable digital asset to technological artifacts around the country.
