在布赫迪厄(Pierre Bourdieu)的思想體系之中,「象徵暴力」(violence symbolique)這個概念在社會的再生產(reproduction)的過程之中扮演了一個關鍵性的角色。象徵暴力這個概念從創生、豐富化到成為一種政治鬥爭工具,反映了布赫迪厄自身的學術關懷的轉變。象徵暴力作為一種隱含的暴力,其運作乃內在於語言之中,並且透過語言來操作的;而該運作仰賴於兩個關鍵的機制:承認(reconnaissance)與無知(méconnaissance)。透過以上這兩個機制,象徵暴力便能夠將其力量強加於人們身上。本文的目的在於分析「象徵暴力」這個概念在布赫迪厄的思想體系中的意義的變遷,及其思想之繼受,特別是對馬克思、涂爾幹和韋伯的繼受。最後並探討象徵暴力概念在布赫迪厄的思想體系中的創新之處,以及如何抵抗象徵暴力。
The concept "symbolic violence" plays a key role in Pierre Bourdieu's sociological thinking, which is indispensable in the process of social reproduction. This concept was created by periods, from its creation, then enrichment, to becoming a tool of political struggle, reflecting the transformation of Bourdieu's academic concern. As symbolic violence is an implicit form of violence, its operation is in the usage of language, and also through it. Its operation relies on two key mechanisms: "reconnaissance" (recognition) and "méconnaissance" (ignorance). This research aims to analyze the change of this concept through Bourdieu's academic career, and also to explore its inheritance of Marx, Durkheim and Weber. The last part of this research tries to realize how to resist the symbolic violence in Bourdieu's sociological thinking.
