A 42-year-old man suffered from ampulla's vater cancer of the duodenum. A whole body bone scan, abdominal computed tomography, and abdominal ultrasonography were ordered for him for further evaluation of his cancer. The bone sintigraphy revealed significant accumulation of radiotracer in the left ureter. Both the abdominal computed tomography and the ultrasonography showed calculi at the ureteropelvic junction. Based on the results of his 3 clinical exams, we speculated that the abnormal accumulation of radiotracer in the left ureter may have been caused by calculi at the ureteropelvic junction.
