區域主義研究與國際關係理論

The Relationship between Regionalism and International Relations Theories

摘要

本論文主要目的是試圖透過回顧與評析歐洲一體化研究到目前為止學術界所累積的各種不同研究成果，作理論層面的分析，希望藉此對區域主義的理論與實踐能有一翻新的體會。本研究發現每一理論有不同的目標價值與不同的問題討論面向，並沒有絕對的對錯，僅在不同的時空裡，適用上的解釋力可能會有不同而已。大體而言，區域主義的理論研究基本上還是免不了受到主流國際關係理論的影響，國際關係研究所歷經的四次大辯論，在不同程度上均刺激了區域主義研究的發展。同樣地，區域主義研究也忽略了一些非主流的國關理論觀點，包括新馬克思主義、英國學派的國際社會理論以及史翠菊(Susan Strange)的結構分析途徑等等。這些非主流理論對於區域主義研究而言，都是值得開發的新領域。

The main purpose of this study is to review and to analyze the different kinds of research results about European unification experience in academic society. This study found that every regionalist theory had its own special purpose and had from different angle to deal with European integration issues. There is no single theory can explain whole story of European experience. Different theories had different explanation abilities. In general, the study of regionalism had been influenced a lot by the development of international relations theories. The so-called 「Four Big Debates」 in international relations studies had stimulated the research of regionalism more or less. Like main stream theories of international relations, the study of regionalism neglected some important approaches including neo-Marxism、International Society Theory of English School and Susan Strange's structuralist analysis. Doubtlessly, these approaches worth us to do more research on the development of regionalist study.
