After the signing of the Treaty of Westphalia in 1648, the international system which is the main form of the sovereign state was born. Nevertheless, the current sovereign states have been facing unprecedented impact and challenge of globalization, regionalization and a large number of international organizations. To explain the multiple development of sovereignty, this article through post-modernism scholar Robert Cooper propounded the three parts of the world: the pre-modern, modern and postmodern as a basis analyses the future trend of sovereign States. Owing to various countries own different methods to pursuit of interests and power, it creates different attitudes and impact on the development of sovereignty in the world today.
