Since China is a socialist state that has the largest population, the problems about medical care and health have become her core issue of greatest importance, which includes not simply population growth, aging population, increasing demand for medical care, but also those affected by insufficient governmental input, imbalanced distribution of medical resources between cities and countries. This paper, divided into three parts, attempts to explore the current status of and demand for medical care in China, analyze the Chinese medical system, and research into the medical security system and the reform process in China. The author is concerned that in China a great crisis in national security will be caused by inappropriate management of the problems about medical care and treatment.
