The research and development of Military Politics in Mainland China started from against the international and domestic criticis on its triangle relations among the communist party, the armed forces and the state. That criticis advocated Mainland China is being to abolish its armed force's partisan, politicalized characters of the military politics and to nationalize it. Based on the development of Army's Political Work, and with reference to the works of L. C. Hung (洪陸訓) who has promoted the Military Politics research in Taiwan, Mainland China developed its Military Politics research. By way of the "2110 Program", Mainland China promotes the Military Politics research to develop the Military Politics with Chinese characters for rationalizing the founding principle of "the Party's absolute control on armed forces". Therefore, scholars use the Marxism to analyze western Military Politics works and use the class to identify the natures and functions of western armed forces, distort the civil-military relations and military-politics relations between armed forces and politics. The Chinese "party control military" model was interpreted as the western democracy's "civilian control" model by Chinese scholars; this confused the implication of democratic control with purpose.
