摘要

感染監測是醫療照護相關感染預防及控制的第一步，在醫院內感染管制中扮演重要角色，而完善的監視系統，須建立在標準化的醫療照護相關感染定義之上，醫療作業及檢查檢驗方法不斷推陳出新，感染監測定義勢必隨之以更符合臨床現狀的方向修正，將造成感染密度波動，且可能無法與過去長期趨勢比較，感染管制人員應了解醫療照護相關感染監測之精神與內涵，及監測定義修訂之背後意義，以因應定義改變對感染密度的影響與如何分析應用的挑戰，並秉持專業角色職責，以流行病學方法系統性且持續性的監視調查，掌握感染密度變化及個案分布，早期偵測異常。

Surveillance is the first step of infection prevention and control in hospitals and is based on the standardized surveillance definition of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). With advances in medical science and technology, the surveillance definition will be revised. Definitional changes in HAIs are associated with a fluctuation in infection density. Infection control practitioners should understand the deeper meaning underlying the surveillance definition and collect and analyze surveillance data continuously using epidemiological methods to detect anomalies early.
