The objective of this study was to examine the effect of oolong tea on inhibits lipid absorption in intestines. The subjects were randomized crossover assigned to experimental (oolong tea) period and control (water) period. Forty grams fat added and three cans of drink (750 ml) were provided per day in the period of experiment. Compared with the water period, the fecal total fat contents, fecal and neutral steroids excretion were significantly increased 52.4% and 37.3% (p<0.01), respectively. These results suggest that oolong tea may increase fecal excretion of fecal fat and neutral steroids contents for the effects of reducing dietary fat absorption.
