摘要

上官鼎在暌違武俠界46年後，終於重出江湖，寫了其自言：「我要創造一套可以生生不息、永遠發展的新武學，它的攻勢是王道的；我要創造一套『王道劍』！」這樣於當代武俠界可謂「石破天驚」的一套小說，其口吻雖是狂放，但其態度卻是嚴肅的，尤其在小說問世後，筆者以為其提倡之思想必然對武俠文學界樹立一個可供模仿並無比尊崇的標竿。本文主從「武俠之最高境界－王道」談論王道推演的「人我不損，楊朱為己之說」、「未必為國，為民方是王道」及「生生不息，王道實踐法則」等三步驟；及「本書創作發想與材料運用」裡有關「正史中建文帝和朱棣之記載」、「野史裡建文帝逃亡之記錄」及「考察上建文帝和從臣鄭洽南逃之資料佐證」等，見其考證之謹慎與故事成形之緣起等兩方面著手，可說敘事精彩又能發人深省。而歷史雖說早已是過往陳跡，但借古諷今、抒作者個人之情，上官鼎此部小說，無疑是箇中翹楚。
