HAN SHAN, also known as HAN SHAN TZU, a poet of Tang Dynasty, lived in privacy in Tsai-Ping Mountain (also named HAN YEN, HAN SHAN) near the Kuo-Ching Temple in Tien-Tai Mountain, who has handed down more than three hundred poetries for generations. In the HAN SHAN poetry, except the poems of 「YU-CHIA」,「DU-UO」,「GUAN-CHU」,「I-HSIANG」,「SHUEN-SSU」 and so on, the author recounted by himself his life style, and mentioned the actual sights, such as HAN YEN where he lives in privacy and Kuo-Ching Temple where he walks slowly to often. He only contacted with two Zen Masters, SHO-TE and FENG-KAN. Besides, HAN SHAN didn't mention other people with whom he has friendly contacts, so that it is difficult to prove his family name and his life age by later generations. However, it is hard to research his life age due to uncertain family name. This paper plan to the documents and materials of ”The Poems of Han Shan situation”, of concentrating of ”The Poems of Han Shan”, and discuss which edition is the best and earliest, then, issue my view.
